Hi All,
First off, thank you for backing our project. I know that we at Nord Games say that a lot, but we feel it's very important to show our appreciation.
Secondly, I wanted to give you all a bit of insight into why we run Kickstarter campaigns, and what we do with the funds that we raise above and beyond our funding goal.
Proof Of Concept. One of the biggest reasons to run a crowdfunding campaign is to prove that your idea will be viable. If you've done your math correctly and set a reasonable funding goal, then you should be able to prove that there are enough people out there willing to buy your end product to make it a success.
Exposure. By posting a project to Kickstarter we aim to get more exposure. More exposure means more potential sales, which leads to a more successful product.
Enhancements. With our R&D budget we can only afford to put X number of pieces of artwork into a product, or a book we have in development can only be X number of pages long. When you start to get more money than you need, you can enhance the product with a newly increased R&D budget.
Volume. When you expect 200 backers and you get 1000 you reach a point where you can order more units to have in stock for later sales. The more units you order from production, the less each unit costs. This increases profit margins and helps the product to be more successful.
Future R&D. When we have money left over after a Kickstarter has been produced and fulfilled we use it for the research and development of future projects. This keeps Nord Games flexible and able to continue publishing awesome products.

I know there are a lot of people out there with great ideas and a desire to run a crowdfunding campaign, but may not have a clue where to start. We are always happy to share our wisdom.

PDFs Backer Level and Stretch Goals!

Hi All,
After getting your feedback we've decided to add a PDF Backer level to this campaign as well as offer PDFs as Add Ons. Please see the Add Ons section on the main page for more info.
Stretch Goals. When we make it to $30,000 you'll receive a free PDF version of each physical deck you get as part of your pledge rewards. Please see Stretch Goals for more information.
If you need any clarification please make a comment on this update and we will respond asap as well as adjust our wording on the main page if need be.
We've started pickup up the pace again as various websites have begun posting info about this project! Please continue to share the project with your friends and make sure they know it ends on the 18th of September!

Retailer Pledge Levels $120, $180, and $240

What an amazing project so far! We cannot thank you enough for all of your support.
We wanted to clear something up about the Retailer Pledge Levels. This applies to all of our Kickstarter Projects and will be listed as such going forward.
The Retailer Levels are for Retailers ONLY. This is not a level to choose if you want multiple copies of the item for your friends, yourself, as gifts, or any other reason for that matter. These levels are designed with our Retailers in mind and offers them our terms of service, including discounts, they would normally receive when ordering from us.
We have updated the FAQ with the exact details and what will happen if you pledge at this level and are not a retailer. We also wanted to let all current backers know this as well which is the reason for this update. We verify all retailers.
